What Gao Found
The DOD approved 12 recommendations, but did not agree to monitor and report on repository investments. We continue to believe that monitoring and reporting will strengthen DOD's efforts to improve its filings. The 21 military service depots maintain the readiness of critical weapons systems such as ships, aircraft and tanks that are necessary for military operations.
